A friend of mine recently received a ticket from a no good meter maid, which prompted me to ask the following question: “how many meter maids are injured on the job from people who they’ve just F’D over by giving a senseless ticket?” So, I Googled my way around and found the following:

It really has nothing to do with my question, but it did get me excited for a minute! The first sentence says it all:
“Well look at that, it turns out there is something the Department of Public Works can do beyond hiring more meter maids: creating more meter maid robots.”
Now, I hate meter maids…HATE THEM. However, if a robot gave me a ticket, I’d probably be cool with it. I mean, it’s a robot, that’s AWESOME! Plus, if I kicked it, it wouldn’t care (ever try to kick a meter maid, yeah, they care!) BUT, then I click on a picture of this robot, and here’s what I see:
LET’S GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT! CAMERAS ARE NOT ROBOTS UNLESS THEY GROW LITTLE CAMERA LEGS, ARMS, AND WALK AROUND SAYING “WATCH IT CREEP!” GOT THAT DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA! CHECK YOUR ROBOT FACTS!!!
To help DC, and the rest of the world for that matter, here’s a little tutorial on ROBOTS!
